  • Garbage! Monster! Burp!
    by   Tom Watson

The story is about a town on top of a hill. A monster at the bottom of the hill eats all the garbage generated by the town. This provides two important benefits: The monster is happy with plenty to eat and the town stays nice and clean. Unfortunately, as the town grows larger, so does the amount of garbage the monster must consume. He gets bigger — and he starts burping. This, as you can probably guess, is a bit unsightly and stinky. In the end, the kids figure out a good environmental solution to the problem — despite the nasty mayor's doubts and objections.

  • Super Haiku - By Elizabeth and Maeve
    by   Elizabeth Watson

This is our book of Haiku. We learned all about it from our teacher, Ta. Haiku poems are five syllables in the first line, seven syllables in the second line. Then, five syllables again for the last line. Haiku poems can be about anything. And they're famous for demonstrating really nice aspects of very simple things. Can you make a Haiku? Thanks for checking out our book -- Elizabeth and Maeve.

  • The Lady and the Barber - By Jacob and Josh
    by   Jacob Watson

This is an adventure story about a lady and a barber. They start off fighting each other, then try to escape together from common enemies at the Aquarium and the Museum. We drew the pictures ourselves and the story goes all over the place -- that's why we like it. We're going to get to work on the second book in the series right away. Thanks for looking -- Jake and Josh.
